1.1 Background of the Study
Public confidence in law enforcement agencies is essential for maintaining social order, fostering cooperation, and ensuring effective governance. In Maiduguri Local Government Area (LGA), Borno State, challenges such as insurgency, corruption, and alleged human rights abuses have significantly eroded public trust in law enforcement agencies. Public relations (PR) plays a vital role in addressing these issues by promoting transparency, fostering community engagement, and improving the image of law enforcement institutions.
